Powerflushing

Cold spots on radiators? Boiler cycling or kettling?

A powerflush clears the debris and sludge that stop your heating system working as it should.

What is a powerflush?

A specialist clean for your whole heating system.

A powerflush uses a specialist machine, operated by a highly trained engineer, to remove debris from your heating system. For the best possible result we also use a highly powerful magnet to capture any particles, small or large, that are causing problems.

Why do I need one?

Signs your system needs a powerflush.

  • Cold radiators
  • Radiators with cold spots
  • A boiler banging when running
  • Increasing breakdowns
  • Having to bleed radiators regularly

Results and gains

The benefits of a professional powerflush can include:

  • Increased pump life, as your central heating pump handles clear water instead of sludge
  • Curing radiator cold spots, so the full surface of the radiator heats your room
  • Improved central heating system efficiency, reducing fuel costs in future years
  • Clearing the boiler heat exchanger to stop banging noises (kettling) and prolong boiler life
  • Reduced hydrogen gas build up, which can lead to radiator corrosion and reduced heat output
  • Clearing contaminated water that could lead to internal corrosion and costly breakdowns

Results vary from system to system.
